Saturalabs original 120 BPM tap-tempo reference 120-bpm.wav is an eight-second, 48 kHz, mono, 16-bit PCM WAV of 768,044 bytes. It contains 16 synthesized clicks at half-second intervals (120 beats/minute). Every fourth click has a higher tone to make four groups easier to follow. That accent is a counting aid, not proof of a particular song's time signature. Each 40 ms click has a smooth half-sine envelope and source amplitude 0.2. The accent tone is 1320 Hz; other clicks use 880 Hz. Playback and device settings can change the level or timing you hear. Start at a comfortable volume. The reproducible source is scripts/generate-tap-tempo-example.ts in the Saturalabs repository. Native FFmpeg decoding verifies 16 nonzero click windows, 24,000-frame spacing and 384,000 decoded frames. The reference does not certify human tapping accuracy, browser timing, device latency or automatic beat detection.
