Use a plain description of the sound you can hear. Name an instrument, a speaking voice, or a particular distraction rather than requesting every part of the mix.

Compare a quiet section and a busy section with the original at similar levels. Check words, note attacks, and tails that overlap other sources.

Understand the limits
Separation estimates a source from a mix. It may leave bleed, change tone, or introduce artifacts. Original recordings and stems give more control when available.

What is an AI audio isolator?
An audio isolator attempts to separate a described source from a mixed recording. Saturalabs returns the requested source as Isolated sound and the remaining mix as Background audio so you can compare both.
What sounds can I request?
You can try requesting an audible voice, instrument, or specific background sound. Start with one source, such as the narrator's voice, the electric bass guitar, or the keyboard typing clicks. Separation quality depends on the recording.
What file formats and sizes are supported?
Upload MP3 or WAV audio, or MP4 or MOV video, up to 50 MiB (52.43 MB). Video inputs produce separated audio tracks for use in your video editor.
Which output should I keep?
Keep Isolated sound when you want the source named in your prompt. Keep Background audio when you want the rest of the recording with that source reduced. Listen to both before choosing.
Does it split every instrument at once?
No. Saturalabs requests one described source per pass and returns that source plus the remainder. It does not automatically export a four-stem pack or a separate file for every instrument.
Can isolation fix every noisy or distorted recording?
No. Overlapping sources, clipping, strong microphone wind, and heavy reverberation can limit the result. Separation may retain unwanted sound or introduce artifacts; it does not guarantee recovery of missing words or notes.
