Each file is mono, 48 kHz, 16-bit PCM WAV. Use the player to preview; the download is the same file.

Reuse and provenance

Original files, with a clear reuse notice

These three WAVs are original synthetic noise sweeps generated for Saturalabs. They contain no third-party recording and are dedicated to the public domain under CC0 1.0. You may copy, adapt and use these files, including in commercial projects, without attribution under that dedication. This notice applies only to these three WAVs, not other site media or third-party sounds.

Read the file-specific notice and generation details or inspect the format and SHA-256 measurements. These are synthetic references, not a demonstration of AI isolation or a claim about how any real-world event sounds.

Make the transition work

How to use a whoosh in a video

  1. Preview all three at a comfortable level and download a candidate. Keep the original file in your project folder.
  2. Import it onto a separate audio track in your video editor. Move the audible peak near the visual cut or movement; compare slightly earlier and later placements.
  3. Adjust the effect's level against speech and music. A transition should not hide a consonant or draw attention away from an important line.
  4. Listen through the cut and the tail, then check the actual exported video on your intended playback devices.

Need a different length? The audio trimmer can prepare a shorter local WAV, and the fade tool can adjust its outer edges. Download the file and choose it in each separate tool; files are not transferred automatically. For context, see how to add sound effects to video.

Need an effect from an existing recording?

If you have permission to use an audible effect inside a mixed recording, the sound-effect extractor can test a text-described source. Compare the estimated result for bleed and missing attack or tail; it is not an original stem and does not establish rights to another recording. AI WAV downloads require an account and sufficient credits.

The YouTube sound-effects guide compares other sources and explains why terms vary by file.
