Both files are mono, 48 kHz, 16-bit PCM WAV. The player previews the same file you download.

Origin and reuse

Original synthetic audio, dedicated under CC0

The double chime is an original Saturalabs synthetic reference made from sinusoids; it is not a recording of a physical bell. The single chime is a sample-exact excerpt of its first event. Both audio files are dedicated under CC0 1.0, allowing copying, adaptation and commercial use without attribution under that dedication. This applies to these audio files, not other site media or third-party recordings.

Read the single-chime notice, its measurements and the double-chime synthesis and reuse notice for provenance and exact scope.

Place the cue

How to use a chime in an edit

  1. Preview the files at a comfortable volume and download the one that fits. The double version has silence before its first chime; listen through the whole file.
  2. Import the WAV into your video or audio editor and align the audible event, not just the file start, with your cue. The single starts at the beginning; the double's first event begins at 0.75 seconds.
  3. Adjust the level against speech and music, preserve enough tail, and listen through the transition in the exported edit. An abrupt cut can make an unwanted click.

For a shorter selection, save the file and open it in the separate audio trimmer. Or add it to the browser soundboard to trigger alongside other local clips; the soundboard does not automatically route audio into a call or recording. Files are not transferred between tools automatically.

Need a different sound?

Try the original notification cues or three whoosh WAVs for a transition. If a recording you have permission to use contains an audible effect, the sound effect extractor can test a text-described source. The result is an estimate, may retain other sounds or lose its tail, and AI WAV downloads require an account and sufficient credits.
